Acceptance of deeds

Assalam Alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu

The prophet (Salallahu alayhi wassalam) said "Three things follow a dead person: His family, his wealth and his deeds. Two of them return and one remains. His family and wealth return and his deeds remain with him"
Bukhari and Muslim

In this Hadith the prophet talks about how when  person dies three things will follow him to his grave. He says that the family and the wealth of the deceased person returns, however, the deeds remain with him. Now, unlike any other religion, Islam places great emphasis on the concept of 'befriending deeds', the reason is because your deeds define who your are, what you did defines who you where, what you do right now defines who your are and what you will do defines who you will be in the future, furthermore, every single action we do will be either a good deed or a bad deed and that will be one of the factors which determine your final destination in the here-after.

In order for a deed to be accepted the individual carrying out the deed or the deed itself has to meet three conditions in order to be accepted:
1) Tawheed
2) Ikhlaas
3) sunnah

Tawheed refers to being on true aqeedah, the aqeedah of Ahlus sunnah. The reason why it is the most important condition out of all the three condition is because you aqeedah (belief) is what makes you Muslim, it is what differentiates you from the Christians and the Jews. A slight defect in aqeedah can render all your deeds null because it can throw you out of the fold of Islam. So in order for a deed to be accepted the individual doing the deed has to be Muslim.

The second condition is Ikhlaas(sincerity). Ikhlaas is what creates the substance of the, let me explain. If somebody presents two blocks of gold that are exactly the same in shape and size, however, once you lift them up you realise that one block of gold weighs more than the other which one will you pick? The one that weighs more is the one that you will take because it has more material and it will be worth more! In that same way, ikhlaas creates the material or the substance of a deed. You can feed the whole of Africa but if your intentions are not clean/sincere then no matter how big the deed is it will not weigh anything on the scales, but even if a person was to smile at somebody for the sake of Allah with clear and sincere intentions then, by the will of Allah, it will be accepted.

The last condition is Sunnah. In order to derive maximum benefit from the action one should try his or her best to do the action the way the beloved prophet () because the way that the prophet () did things is loved by Allah. If one does not do it the sunnah way then there is no problem, however, the sunnah method of doing an action is the most beloved to Allah.

Proof of existence of Allah

PROOF OF EXISTENCE OF ALLAH:-
Shaykh Muhammad ibn Saalih al-‘Uthaymeen (رحمه الله تعالى) mentioned in his Explanation of the book al-‘Aqeedah al-Wa sitiyyah:
قلنا: الدليل على وجود الله: العقل، والحس، والشرع.
Is someone says: “What is the proof of the existence of Allaah, the Mighty and Sublime?”
We reply that the evidence for Allaah’s existence are: The ‘Aql (Intellect), the senses, and the Shari’ah. All three prove the existence of Allaah. If you like, you can add the Fitrah (innate disposition). Therefore, the proofs of Allaah’s existence are four: The ‘Aql, the senses, the Fitrah and the Shari’ah. Also, we have mentioned the textual evidences (Shari’ah) last, not because it is not worthy of being mentioned first; rather because we are addressing he who does not believe in the Shari’ah.

The truth about Chritmas- Yusuf estes

Christmas? Halal? Haram? Can Muslims Celebrating Christmas?
 At least have some fun?
While you may find this strange, we have received letters asking about the permissibility of allowing Muslim children and adults to join along Christians in celebrating Christmas; giving gifts, decorating their homes, lighting candles, putting up Christmas trees and lights and greeting each other with "Merry Christmas."
No candles? * No Christmas tree * No sleigh? * No reindeer? * No mistletoe? * No bells? * No elves? * No stockings by the chimney? * No Christmas Carols * & NO SANTA CLAUS?
Let us consider some important facts about this occassion and what it really means:
The word Christmas comes from the words Cristes maesse, or "Christ's Mass." Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus for members of the Christian religion. Most historians peg the first celebration of Christmas to Rome in 336 A.D.

Muhammad in the Bible

Over the years there have been many dialogs between famous Muslim scholars and christian scholars on the topic of Muhammad (pbuh) being mentioned in the bible.

Abraham is widely regarded as the founder of monotheism and the father of the Jews, Christians and Muslims. Through on of his sons, Isaac (Ishaaq), came all Israelite prophets including such towering figures as Jacob (Ya'qoob), Joseph (Yusuf), Moses (Moosa), David (Dawood), Solomon (Suleiman) and Jesus (Esa). May peace and blessings be upon them all. The advent of these great prophets was in partial fulfillment of God's promises to bless the nations of of the world through the descendents of Abraham (Genesis12:2-3).Such fulfillment is openly accepted by Muslims whose faith considers the belief in and respect of all prophets as a part of faith.

Is Bible truly the word of God?

”Therefore woe be unto those who write the Scripture with their hands and then say, "This is from Allah," that they may purchase a small gain therewith. Woe unto them for that their hands have written, and woe unto them for that they earn thereby.”
Quran 2:79

Before a piece of information can be accepted it has to be authentic and also needs to meet certain criteria’s in order for it to be trusted, however, when a book claims to be the word of god it too has to meet certain criteria’s such as zero contradictions and has to make sense because off-course-
God doesn’t contradict himself! But is this the case with the Bible? Let us dig a little deeper...

Who was Jesus?

'The Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, was only a messenger of Allah'
Quran chapter 4 verse 171
Today there are two religions which order its followers or make it an article of faith to believe in Jesus (peace be upon him), these two religions are Islam and Christianity. There are different groups with in the religion of Christianity and some of the groups believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) is the son of god and also many believe that he is god himself. However in Islam the biggest sin that one can commit is worshipping anyone other than Allah or saying Allah has a partner or has partners and as Muslims we believe that Jesus (peace be upon him) is the messenger of Allah. so who was Jesus?

Proof for gods existence!

Today, in the UK and all over the there are a group of people called Atheist. Atheist are people who do not believe in the existence of god and it is our jobs as Muslims to prove to them that god exists and to teach them the right way to worship god and the religion that god chose for the human beings.
